Green Stormwater Infrastructure

The city’s code of ordinances presents requirements for the use of green roofs to receive a percentage of open space credit. It lists several required features including reclaimed water or retained rainwater for irrigation, adequate soil depth, prior roof strength for additional plants and soil, and proof of maintenance for the life of the building (§4-8.36). The code of ordinances offers credit satisfaction of 50% for extensive green roofs and %75 for intensive green roofs (§4-8.36.f).
