Green Stormwater Infrastructure

The city’s code of ordinances provides an overview of low-impact development (LID) tactics and presents an incentive program. It organizes 12 tactics, including bioswales, green roofs, and conservation of natural assets, into three categories, including Stormwater Collection, Stormwater Conveyance and Treatment, and Preservation of Natural Areas (§5.3.2.B.1). The code of ordinances offers increased lot coverage, reduced parking requirements, and reduced minimum open space as “Low Impact Development Credits” (§5.3.3).
