Green Stormwater Infrastructure

The city’s code of ordinances gives the city council the ability to establish a green infrastructure stormwater management district. It states a connection and annual surcharge will be established for implementing a “green infrastructure stormwater management system” (§81.08.2) that will be used to fund the operation, maintenance, and reconstruction of those systems from which the charges are being collection (§81.08.3). The code of ordinances also outlines the certification and payment processes associated with these systems (§81.08.2).

Shared Mobility

The city’s zoning code provides parking requirements that relate to carsharing and ridesharing services. It authorizes reducing up to ten (10) required parking spaces for every carsharing vehicle and designated parking (§63.211). The code determines that developments with office, industrial, and institutional uses with more than twenty (20) parking spaces may reserve up to five (5) percent of spaces for rideshare vehicles (§63.212).
