Hazard Mitigation

This report calculates benefit-cost-ratios (BCRs) for several hazard mitigation strategies. It analyzes five strategies including the adoption of model codes, securing federal mitigation grants, supporting private-sector building retrofits, exceeding building codes, and constructing hazard mitigation infrastructure. The report also assesses the geographical distribution of their cost-effectiveness throughout.
