Hazard Mitigation

This report examines the use of “hazard maps” as a tool for assessing the geospatial distribution of hazards and producing evacuation plans. It focuses on the use of this tool in Japan for assessing earthquake and tsunami hazards. The report concludes by providing lessons learned and recommendations for developing countries.
