Hazard Mitigation

This article explores the role of land-use planners in promoting hazard mitigation for new development. The examines the importance for researchers to focus on the decisions of individual planners in hazard mitigation planning and the influence they exert on development projects. The article highlights floodplain management in Clackamas County, Oregon as a case study and offers suggestions for future research.
