Hazard Mitigation

This article examines hazard exposure, structural vulnerability, and social vulnerability as predictors of structural damage and as components of a comprehensive hazard assessment. It focuses on analyzing damage assessments of single-family collected following Hurricane Ike as a case study. The article concludes with a discussion on the statistical significant of these predictors of structural damage and implications for policymaking and planning.
