Hazard Mitigation

This article discusses the role of land-use planning for wildfire preparedness and mitigation and identifies tools for use in the wildland-urban interface (WUI). It surveys planners from communities in the WUI and identifies common perceptions, challenges, and strategies. The article concludes with a discussion on the implications of the study’s findings.
