This guide is designed to help cities and counties develop and implement coordinated building and floodplain management regulations. Individual chapters address approaches to floodplain management, differences between NFIP requirements and the I-Codes, questions related to coordinating codes and regulations, increasing resistance to flood damage, and model code-coordinated floodplain management ordinances.
