Hazard Mitigation

The city’s comprehensive plan includes extensive hazard mitigation policy recommendations in its Safety Element. 

This element provides background on the city’s previous hazard mitigation experiences; cross references other related plan elements and local regulations; analyzes flood and earthquake hazard risks; and goals, objectives, and policies to mitigate multiple human-caused and natural hazards.
