Hazard Mitigation

This functional plan details a hazard mitigation strategy for the incorporated jurisdictions and unincorporated areas of the county. All recommendations support five broad goals: 

1. Protect the health and safety of the public. 

2. Minimize losses to existing and future structures. 

3. Maintain local services and infrastructure. 

4. Educate residents and visitors about risks and resources. 

5. Use public funds cost efficiently and fairly.
