Planning and Zoning Enabling Laws

This article explores the development of the Quiet Revolution in Land Use Control and examines the role of the state in land use controls, specifically in Oregon between 1961-2011. It discusses how Oregon was poised for this new system with responsibilities given by the state for local government planning and zoning laws that helped achieve state powers in planning, planning consistency, and environmental protections.
