Planning and Zoning Enabling Laws

This article discusses how the Smart Growth model in state planning could be the second wave of the Quiet Revolution for land-use and environmental law. It explores the principles of smart growth planning as this model relates to environmental law. A few of these principles are state and federal responsibility in land-use conservation and development, the roles of local governments in implementing planning, and efficient use of land and infrastructure.
