Brownfields Redevelopment

This briefing paper examines brownfields redevelopment and groundwater infiltration. It explores the criteria that determine whether green stormwater infrastructure practices that promote groundwater infiltration are appropriate on specific brownfield sites. It includes the risk of pollution spread from untreated contaminated properties, and stormwater management practices and examines specific options that policymakers can pursue to manage stormwater infrastructure on and around potential brownfield sites.
