Brownfields Redevelopment

This subarea plan focuses on Philadelphia’s Lower Frankford Creek area. The plan emphasizes the need to remediate and redevelop several brownfield "catalyst areas” that will require environmental review and remediation before initiating economic development activities in the area. These include a former chemical plant, a former coke manufacturer, and a former industrial corridor.
