Rethinking Off-Street Parking Requirements

This article examines how removing minimum off-street parking requirements in Buffalo, New York, affected the amount off-street parking developers supplied. It finds that developers of large projects chose to provide approximately half of the previously required amount of parking, while small single-use projects provided more than the previously required amount of parking.
