Shared Mobility

This article explores the history and impact of shared mobility and the potential of the service to address first and last-mile connections to public transit. It presents shared mobility as part of the sharing economy and explores the different modes of the service ranging from car share to e-hail. The authors of this article also explore the future of shared mobility by discussing trip planning digital platforms, multimodal integration, and opportunities with autonomous vehicles (AVs) technology.
