This article evaluates the impact that community input, using public participation geographic information system (PPGIS), has on the decision-making process of bike-share station locations. It evaluates how close planners have built bike share stations to the location suggested by stakeholders on PPGIS in New York City, NY, and Chicago, IL. A key takeaway of this study is that planners can use and develop better digital platforms to engage with stakeholders and improve planning outcomes of projects and programs.
