This case study details the Direct Connect pilot program, a partnership between the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority and a transportation network company (TNC) to provide first and last-mile services. Under the pilot program, riders can take subsidized trips from and to bus stops in taxis, Uber, or wheelchair-accessible vehicles (WAVs). This case study presents the background of the program, the terms of the public-private partnership, and the different phases of the pilot.
