Shared Mobility

This case study presents an evaluation of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) First and Last Mile Solutions project, part of the Federal Transit Administration's Mobility on Demand (MOD) Sandbox project. DART partnered with FTA and third-party mobility providers to address first and last-mile connections by integrating microtransit on-demand services and transportation network companies' services into the existing public transit service mobile application. Some of the findings suggest that the project improved first and last-mile connections to DART, increased the service area of the public transit agency, and increased satisfaction among users, including passengers with disabilities.
