Climate Change

This report explores strategies and policies for climate resiliency in urban areas, focusing on social equity. It redefines climate resilience as integrating climate change mitigation, adaptation, and a deep democracy approach that puts frontline communities at the center of climate action. And it explores six strategic pathways where efforts can advance climate action:

  • Build Power, Expand Democracy, Increase Community Voice and Transform Place;
  • Craft a Narrative Strategy that Moves the Message and Builds the Climate Resilience Constituency;
  • Create a New Economy for the New Climate Reality;
  • Advance the Climate Resilience Legal and Policy Agenda;
  • Strengthen Regionalism and Bioregional Identity; and
  • Align and Expand Movement Infrastructure Building.
