This article sought to understand how communities in Florida have been responding to the Peril of Flood Act. The Act that passed in 2015 requires coastal communities to incorporate sea-level rise policies into their comprehensive plans. Findings from this study suggest communities’ response to the State mandate varied, ranging from those that just satisfied the planning requirements to more progressive planning responses.
