Climate Change

This blog post is the second of a two-part series that addresses climate change and indigenous communities in the United States. While the first part discussed the impacts of climatic change on indigenous communities, this second part provides examples of tribal communities’ initiatives for climate action. These culturally informed initiatives include food preservation techniques, tribal representation in subsistence management, research and monitoring, and awareness of near-term and related environmental conditions.
