Climate Change

This functional plan presents the city’s climate change progress and sets new targets for carbon reduction. It gives an overview of several programs contributing to climate action within the city and presents its carbon reduction plan for the buildings, transportation, and energy sectors. Some of the strategies include developing a carbon emissions performance standard to decarbonize existing large buildings (5), improving and expanding active transportation infrastructure (9), and developing a values-based framework for carbon offsets (18).
