Climate Change

This functional plan contains several strategies to help the region mitigate and adapt to the impacts of climate change. Some of the mitigation strategies include investing in renewable energy and reducing fossil fuel use, transitioning to electric vehicles and increasing the use of sustainable transportation options, and sequestering carbon in the soil. And adaptation strategies include creating 15-minute neighborhoods, developing green jobs through partnerships, and supporting a circular economy to reduce waste.
