Climate Change

This functional plan presents a climate impact assessment to help the Puyallup Tribe of Indians better understand and adapt to the risks of a changing climate. It gives an overview of existing programs and plans to improve the resilience of natural and built systems and potential adaptation strategies to respond to the risks of climate change. These adaptation strategies fall into five main categories:

  1. Implement protection, restoration, and management practices;
  2. Provide education and guidance;
  3. Reevaluate policies, plans, and protocols;
  4. Gather additional information; and
  5. Leverage partnerships.
