Artificial Intelligence and Planning

This report assesses ways local governments implement artificial intelligence (AI) and identifies challenges and opportunities. Generative AI falls into three tiers when used in local government: digital assistants, constituent communications, and complex problem solving. The report is outlined by describing the study’s methodology, key findings, and recommendations.
