In the San Francisco Bay Area, the Association of Bay Area Governments and Metropolitan Transportation Commission (ABAG/MTC) partnered with the East Bay Economic Development Alliance (EBEDA) and the U.S. Economic Development Administration to designate a Regional Economic Development District (EDD).
