FAICP Statement
George Homewood is the unabashed defender of good planning. He has worked tirelessly on behalf of the planning profession and local government as an advocate for sound planning legislation, leading APA Virginia to become one of the most effective chapters in legislative affairs and advocacy. George has served APA and APA Virginia in both leadership and advocacy roles. Professionally, George has successfully brought together rural and growth interests in York and New Kent counties and he has set Norfolk on a course to embrace resiliency planning in light of increasing threats from sea-level rise.
