Professional Biography
Joshua DeVries is an AICP Certified Planner with over 11 years of professional experience. He has been employed for over 6 years by Osceola County, in Florida where he has gained experience in staff and project management, land use, zoning, code and policy development, and transportation planning. His current position is a Transportation Planner III with Transportation & Transit Department. He also has 5 years of experience as a Planner with the City of Kissimmee. In May 2016, he earned a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Central Florida with a 4.0 GPA. He also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Planning from Northern Michigan University in 2005. Mr. DeVries has been active with the American Planning Association (APA) since 2005, where he serves on the Local Section Executive Committee as the President of the Orlando Metro Section (OMS), served as the Liaison to the Young Planners Group, as the APA Planning Student Organization Representative for the UCF Urban Knights Planning Student Organization. Mr. DeVries is a self-motivated, dedicated, and innovative professional, who is always eager to learn new skills through experience and continuing education.
